During Covid, I Door Dashed in Los Angeles. I would wrap towels around drinks and rubber band plastic baggies around the lids. Cupcakes were crazy because they were delicate and top heavy. Cakes also couldn’t take much vibration. For pizza, anything larger than a medium, I would ask the restaurant to repackage into smaller boxes. I put a lot of miles on my bike. Now that VC’s aren’t subsidizing delivery for market share, I don’t know how lucrative delivery is anymore.

I’m still shocked DoorDash lets you use a motorcycle. It seems like the food would get cold faster being more exposed to the outside

Where I live DoorDash actually will pay you hourly and it’s not bad. It’s like $14.50 an hour plus tips. The downside is you end up having to drive pretty far usually for the orders but on a bike I doubt you would use a ton of gas.
