one of my players was paying particular attention to a mural in a House of murals that was of a war his ancestors faught. I don't think the other players paid attention but I the DM did and he will be getting a fancy reward for playing his character so well. reward the role play!

but it comes down to the table. when I have someone nervous about roleplaying their character but enjoys playing they forget. But you get a guy or girl who does three accents and mainly cares about what their character has going on they loooove it when they are mentioned
