I was a CO once for 4 1/2 years, I had inmates tell me I was too nice to work there but they were thankful I was there. I said I’m here for work, care custody , & control not to abuse you & treat you like shit. Good pointer is never ask what someone did, bc ofc some will treat a SA worse than a robber. They teach to hate tho. Esp if you have an Ass SGT. Some SGT act so big & bad, they LOVE going in cleaning out cells & taking ppl down. Usually for no reason. It’s sickening really
