Well that illness I shared on last week's reel ended up definitely being a virus and then, 24 hours after the fever broke we had a viral rash! Guess what…. This is NORMAL and often to be expected after a child has a virus. And guess what again? 💗I am not worried AT ALL and I don’t want you to be either! Post viral rashes are VERY common. The rash arrives toward the end of the infection and lasts a couple of days. It's the body's reaction to the virus and doesn't respond to much medication, including steroids. 🌟IT WILL GO AWAY WITHOUT NEED OF TREATMENT! 🌟 The body is so wise. Unlike an allergic reaction, viral rashes usually do not cause itching or pain. Viral rashes often go away after a few days. But they may last up to 2 weeks. There are 5 viral infections that can lead to a rash -chickenpox (varicella) -fifth disease -measles (rubeola) -roseola -rubella (German measles). The most common we see today are: ➡️Fifths disease → rash will be on the cheeks ➡️Roseola → rash will start on chest and stomach and can move to the neck, face, and arms See the photos of my baby she had Roseola since it was a body wide rash. And do you see her BIG SMILE?! 💗 Although during the day she was happy, don't be fooled; the nights with fever had her feeling pretty uncomfortable. After 24 hours she is back to her happy self and this rash doesn’t bother her a bit. And as a Doctor Mom it doesn’t bother me either. I expected it and I want you to as well. Stay calm Doctor Mom! I will cover more in depth viral rashes inside my Doctor Mom membership soon, I'm going in the list of order based on popularity. 💗I always love asking what you moms want to learn and I am happy to share my natural medicine protocols to make life easy for you when your child get’s sick. Share this with a friend who can learn from this post! #viralrash #kidshealth #holisticwellness #naturopathicdoctor #momlifevibes #momlifeiscrazy
