Atp I still think E0S1 Aventurine performs better than him in terms of sustain. You can give Aventurine a semi dps build and he still does some damage

omg, people are crybabies. he is still very good shielder, his sustain is on par with Hyacine. + he brings something new that no other sustain has given: banana set for anyone and dull Sunday buff. it's obvious hoyo didn't mean for him to have all these broken synergies, they fixed it, end of story

For those confused: The dragon back in v1 was counted as the bondmate's own attack therefore they use the effects of that character's LC, talents, Eidolons, etc. now it doesn't count as the bondmats's attack

It's a shame they made Dang Heng useless. The only thing that stood out about his skill set was the synergies with other characters. Aside from that mechanic, the rest were very simple and of little value.
