@coastalcurr3nts: A waterspout — or a whirling column of air and water mist — formed in Duck, N.C. Wednesday morning and was captured by a viewer. According to NOAA, there are two types of waterspouts: a fair weather and tornadic. This waterspout falls more in the fair weather category, meaning it formed "along the dark flat base of a line of developing cumulus clouds," per NOAA.
