Yes! Summer is terrible. Fall is the best season for playing outside. The sun isn’t harsh, everything is beautifully lit, overcast days are foggy and ethereal, there are snacks just hanging off the trees and bushes.

Yes! I legit feel sick if I get too much sun, sweating is the worst, and my eyes hate the brightness. I am even more likely to have S.A.D. during the summer rather than the winter. I *love* rainy gloomy weather! And people are like "🙄 we get it. Oooh, so edgy and dark. You read so many vampire novels as a kid. WoOo." And it's, like, I- I do love vampires and vampire novels, but ALSO I love neon colours and positivity and fun! I paint my living room lime green with a pink accent wall! It's not my fault that my body thinks I should live only at night or in the rain....

I’m sensitive to the sun from a genetic disorder. Being outside in summer makes me physically ill and I can’t see well at all because it’s too bright. I want to leave the house so bad just like everyone else but yeah everyone takes it the wrong way.

I hate loud cramped dark social settings, so people assume I’m a shy introvert, and I used to too. Turns out I love to socialize when I could hear and see who I’m talking to, and it’s not too noisy to think.

I dated a girl who thought I just needed to get more sunlight and then I wouldn't get sunlight-induced migraines. She wouldn't hear it when I tried to explain that if that worked, it would have worked by now. I still have to be out in daylight a lot. I just suffer.

I don't like sun I hate it I'm super sensitive to heat and it hurts and I love rain ironically enough one of my friend's nicknames for me is sunshine so I don't think my dislike of the sun says a whole lot about my personality

It reminds me of how people will treat being a dog lover or a cat lover like a personality trait, and *then* like, ascribe moral weight to it? I don’t hear it as much now but there used to be a lot of posts here saying “if a guy dislikes cats it’s because he secretly dislikes women” as if it’s a reflection of your personal values and not like, your preference as to what animals you want to spend time with

It's cause they have poor theory of mind, and are top-down processors. They think of sunny days as inherently enjoyable (because that's how they're portrayed in movies), not just enjoyable to them. If you don't like it, it's easier to resolve it as you hate fun rather than question the larger assumption
