@huskyhalfwayhouse: Meet Goober – estimated to be just over 7 years old, this handsome guy came to us from the Stanislaus Shelter in California over 800 days ago. Goober is a sweet, playful boy who loves his people, loves to play, and really, really loves food. But here’s the thing—sharing? Not his strong suit. Goober can be possessive over toys, food, treats, and sometimes even his space. Because of that, he’d do best as an only dog, or in a home where he’s fed separately and managed carefully. With the right structure and patience, though, this boy absolutely shines. Goober is super playful, always ready for attention, and happiest when he’s with his people—whether that’s out on an adventure or just hanging on the couch. He’s a medium-to-high energy boy, even in his older years, and he’ll thrive in a home where he can run off some energy, then cuddle right up with you afterward. “I’m Goober!
