I had a little African American lady who's daughter would keep her mom's hair bright red with weird unnatural curls. so when covid hit and she couldn't visit mom, her hair went all natural and beautiful. everytime the nurse had the daughter on face time I would tell my lady how beautiful her hair looked

We had a family treat would come right into the kitchen and go in the walk in looking for ice cream and whatever…. I was newer and made it very clear KITCHEN STAFF ONLY in the kitchen. If you need something you go through a nurse.

when I was a cna I would have been like its mt job to clean up after your family member... not you... if that linen needs to be taken to the soil room then you can put it on the bathroom floor. I will not be picking it up after you through it at me.

I hate that!!!! I told a family member that they couldn't go in staff areas. They went and told on me, now she tries to make small talk. Not going to happen.

Rehab center my late hubby was at gave entrance codes to family members UNTIL 1 family started coming in 2/3 AM. Ruined it for everyone

Ima be honest, I would’ve definitely been one of those demanding, inconsiderate, annoying family members when it came to my parents ( they won’t end up in a nursing home). I would’ve wanted them changed AS SOON as they wet their brief, change of clothes as soon as it’s dirty, all that.. then I became a cna and got to see/feel what the workers deal with on a day to day basis, and I understood. Becoming a cna definitely helped open my eyes.
