When a consultation is made the odu ifa(sign and corpus of ifa is revealed)which signifies and brings a lot of information Most people make ifa consultation (idafa) whenever they’re in problems(financial,spiritual,jail,sickness) And some do it to know what next God and ifa,and the other orishas have in plan for him/her So whenever an ifa consultation is done Ifa identifies and highlights maybe a future or past problems of such person,and then prescribes the necessary and important solutions and way out of such problems(This can only be interpreted by the ifa priest)(babalawo). Esu is the messenger of God,who serves as intermediary between God,humans and other spiritual entities,so most ebos(sacrifices) made are given to Esu and he makes sure the Ebo is delivered and accepted. And also Esu serves as the messenger of God who arrests people who make consultations without making necessary sacrifices(because it’s not good) And such act will make the client’s problems worse.
