@danaandthecats: It's big news time for our girl Chance! We rescued her in December last year, she had a broken jaw and was missing her eyes. She has had 3 life saving surgeries to get her to this point of being ready for adoption. While her fosters went back and forth about whether she was already at home with them, it was ultimately decided that there might be a better fit for her out there. Her adopters are no strangers to caring for a blind cat. Their cat that had passed away last year was similarly born without eyes. Her name was Miley, and she lived a wonderfully long and happy life with these two. While we don't usually do out of state adoptions, we had to make an exception. I mean... their personal reference on their adoption application was a vet specialist from their local hospital who treated their previous cat, who couldn't speak more highly of them and the level of care they provide for their pets. Chance, now named Indie June, will have a dog friend named Meeko and once she is settled, they'll be hoping to add another cat to the mix as well. We couldn't be more happy for Chance and the family she found. It was an emotional day for me, and of course for her fosters.
