If you work in retail and you are on the edge of an anxiety attack before you go in, then you better hope it's a quiet shift and you can calm down pretty quick because the general public are horrific and will deffo trigger you, especially if they have loud kids with them 😡

I’m a commercial vehicle mechanic, I’m often on big jobs with deadlines when the companies need their vehicle back, I feel bad/guilty for the customers that don’t get their vehicle back on time if I decide to have a day off.,

I do this but sickness is followed by return to work meetings and then continued sickness is followed by more meetings and so on where they make you go over every single one of your sick days and why you were off for each one

I have mental health issues, going through menopause and had a traumatic event at work (carer) my team leader puts me on “capabilities” stages and makes me feel awful for taking time out for myself, also never had support for that even at work

I call in sick a lot , was with the company 3 years the first 2 years was ok but a different agency took over that’s when things were going Pete tong I started hating my job ,,,, a month ago my mum passed away and I took 4 weeks off then left the shit job , I’m still grieving my mum and out of work , but taking one day at a time xx

I asked to go home today as I didn’t feel well, got told ‘it’s not up to me to say if it’s okay, obviously we don’t want you to go home, but if you really feel you need to go then it’s up to you’ 🥲 - I did leave this time but they do make u feel bad for going home ill 😂. I’ve called in sick 1 time and that was because my aunty died, didn’t get offered any support lol.

100%! I'm a senior support worker who runs a small team and I back this, if my team needs a day off so be it. At the end of the day we are all there for the money. if you were to pass away, your job would be advertised the very next day. Put yourself first.

Put my notice in (with immediate effect) 2 days ago. No reply. After 4yrs of employment. And that is a forensic mental health hospital! Care for employees? Nope! I haven’t heard anything an interview this morning and UNI in September…better times ahead!
