We need require psychiatric/psychological evaluations for people that want to own guns. Mandatory treatment for a certain amount of time before we allow just anyone to own guns. Lawmakers want to send “thoughts and prayers” and blame the mental health of the person but have not found the way to integrate both. NOT EVERYONE SHOULD OWN A GUN IN THIS COUNTRY. Choose our children first! How can these very same lawmakers be pro life and not protect innocent lives?!

I hate that they interview these kids right afterwards when they have no skills/support to process the trauma. It should be jarring enough for adults to stir change without exploiting them like that. And, yet, here we are.

he didnt just see him get shot... his friend pretended to play dead on top of him taking a bullet in his back and saved his life... this is something grown adult combat veterans have a hard time ever recovering from... he didnt just see his friend get shot. 😮💨🤘

As a Virginia Tech student, the journalists were relentless, saying we owed it to people to tell the story when we already said we weren’t up to it. They added to the stress and trauma.

They can't even process it!! As adults, we have a hard time getting over shock and processing things like this.. but here they are shoving cameras in a child's face. Exploiting them. Shame on the reporters and shame on the parents for allowing it. Even if these babies say they want to, no, absolutely not. Get them home and safe.

The kids do need to talk about it and process it but not on TELEVISION or to REPORTERS. They need to talk to their families, counselors, school staff, doctors, etc.
