As soon as I look up trepidation in the dictionary, I'll be back. 😂 Just kidding, nice word choice. I'll take the oldie but goodie. No DEF is the first reason.

We trade combines every year. We run 3 Deere S7 900’s it’s “usually“ more software/calibration issues that we deal with. We’ve had our share of mechanical problems as well though too….. lol

Never like new. Years 2 - 5 are always the best. You start to get to end of life on some things and so years 6-8 seems like you are doing a lot of repairs but by years 10 and on you know exactly how it works and every sound it makes. So. Short answer. Probably brand new is more unsettling.

Brand new. You can’t fix it yourself and something will happen.

I think a new combine would make me nervous but I’d love to have the money to try. The good thing about my old machines is I know if something does break I can fix it.

Personally, I’d trust old reliable. Too much stress with feeling out a new one.

I had my 9660 for 12 years. I probably had more anxiety the year I traded it off not knowing anything about my new used combine

I'd say a 45 year track record feels pretty comfortable.

I run the same machine you got there, I know it inside and out. I know what to expect out of it. New one would make me worry a lot more.

💯 take our 7720 any day. It may not be a high cap machine but it chugs along and gets the job done
