No one plays the victim better than the one who caused the damage. And if you’ve ever been through it, you know exactly what I’m talking about. The kind of person who can hurt you, break you down, twist the story, and then somehow make it look like you’re the problem. They’ll lie, they’ll manipulate, and they’ll even convince others to turn against you. That’s a heavy thing to carry… but here’s the truth… you don’t have to. Because God already saw what they did. He saw the tears they didn’t see, the nights you cried yourself to sleep, the weight you carried in silence. And He also saw the strength it took for you to get back up. His Word says, ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord’ (Romans 12:19). That means you don’t have to waste your energy defending yourself or chasing validation. And listen… I know it’s hard, but Isaiah 54:17 reminds us, ‘No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn.’ The lies won’t win. The darkness won’t last. God is your defender, and in time, He will bring the truth to light. So if you’re in the middle of this right now, hold your peace.
