They get it all back and then some. It’s called EIC (earned income credit). I know someone who didn’t pay a penny into taxes and would get $8k back on their tax return. They also got $1200 a month in EBT

What else are these parents buying that is unnecessary, that they could spend that money on for a cake for their child? It all comes down, too get a job and learn how to support yourself with the income you are earning. People need to learn to budget.

My SIL went into the Army, went to college after he got out, went to law school at night While being a correctional officer and now is very well off. He should not be taxed higher for his very hard work. You can’t take people’s incentive away

I was on a church welfare and the closest thing to sweet I got was a cake mix and had to make my own frosting. I did not get junk food. I was most grateful for the meat because it is so expensive. they dont need the junk

I agree with you on all, but the fresh bakery goods should be allowed because they are better than say Oreo's or nutter butters, also for those that are bringing stuff for a birthday to school they have to be premade they don't allow you to bake and bring in anymore. I agree with everything else no soda or junk food.
