I remember as a teen hitting my brake really hard and broke it me and my dad fixed it with a bolt and nut lol so it wouldn’t break again

Had this on my Frontier. it's a manual and also the clutch pedal has the same grommet switch setup. wouldn't start because it didn't think the clutch was pressed

done a few I put a short 10mm bolt through hole then locktite the nut never wear out or break again.

I had to fix this on my Kia Optima last year. Car was stalling & couldn't figure out what was happening until my neighbor said my brake lights were still on. Google, youtube, & a few dollars to fix it & get back on the road. (And a new battery bc it died 🤦🏽♀️)
