agreed! the anti-intellectualism is a major concern.. alongside eclectic misinformation and the reliance on confirmation bias. neo-pagans these days seem more interested in parentifying their deities, or seeking to have interpersonal relationships with them that aren't supported by historical lore / archeology. they also seem far more interested in their own gnosis and taking myths literally, which honestly worries me a bit because at that point their path is basically spiritual fanfiction more than a grounded and informed practice
