@mmadrigallsresearch: Ever notice you can’t sit still with EDS? The constant fidgeting, stretching, cracking joints…. it’s not just a quirk. It’s your nervous system adapting to faulty connective tissue. This video explains the genius behind the chaos, and why your body is doing exactly what it needs to survive. You’re not broken!! you’re brilliant!! #chronicillness #ehlersdanlos #fascia #connectivetissuedisorder #pots
Or you’re in so much pain that you can’t stay in one spot for long

Walk Gay with Me :
If I sit in one position too long, my joints will hyper extend without noticing and then when I move, it hurts so bad. Changing position all the time prevents that

Mrs M Moose :
If I sit still and relaxed, gravity just pulls different bits of me out of alignment. Fidgeting was considered bad as a child so I learned to brace myself really hard, clenching to avoid movement. Cue bad muscle strain and horrifying migraines.

Wait - soooo-are you saying that since I was diagnosed with ADHD in my 40s & been on medication & no longer fidget constantly could actually contribute to mobility issues???

I love your videos, and they have helped me so much. Can you explain why walking and staying in motion is easier than standing still? I find it so painful to stand but walking is ok.

@Lolly: Makes sense. All of my siblings are fidgety, never sit “right” or for long in the same position , chronic crossers, sretchers, swayers, feel restless, are limber and have hyperextended joints. I’m sure we all have ADHD, hEDS, POTs, and more. But, I’m the only one that’s been diagnosed in my sibling group .

I felt so ashamed when psychiatrists I saw blamed my constant movements on ADHD meds. It was so triggering and distressing to try prove to them that I’m just like that. They have no idea. Thank you for explaining
