Everything you said is true. One of my ex-friends acted like I was in the wrong when I questioned their bad behavior towards me. Said "I think you're overthinking right now". When I point blank told them "I'm not overthinking", THEY needed space, suddenly. When they came at me later and told me that they were done with me, I went silent. When they know that you have them figured out, they move onto the next person, who can never be you.
