Genuine question, so are misogynistic men female centred?

ladiesss … it’s simple . don’t structure your standards around what men think. live by your own principles, rooted in your feminine beliefs. Whether that’s seen as “crazy” or not is irrelevant ! your world, your rules 💕

Hating your oppressor is a VERY NORMAL REACTION to abuse !! It is not male centered…….

Not sure why feminism and misandry are being used interchangeably nowadays. While misandry is valid, it’s still does equate Feminism. When we talk about decentralizing men, we are simply saying “do not seek male validation to live!!”. Most importantly, it is not realistic to completely decentralize your oppressor. If you act like they do not exist or that their actions do not threaten our existence its gives them more freedom to do as they will.

Genuine question but could you expand on your question at the end asking about how “feminism would look if men were not the reference point?” Mostly because the reason why feminism was birthed was because of the oppression caused through the patriarchy, if women weren’t oppressed in any capacity, we wouldn’t need feminism, or is simply wouldn’t need to exist no? And I don’t think I really understand what you mean by reference point, /gen

The reality is men ARE the center of most societies and in my (pessimistic) opinion it is noy going to change. So if they're gonna be centered in all parts of society, I am going to choose to center them in hatred.

I saw her video while I get ur point but I wouldn't call it “male-centred” while being a “feminist” you have to acknowledge men as it comes from fighting a system they built so I don’t think hating men makes us male-centred more male-cautious

it's not our whole identity, we don't build our identity around 1 opinion. we are a multitude of complexe opinions, experiences and thoughts. this is like saying cause I hate idk pizza that defines me and it's my identity

Hatred is a natural response to real abuse — anger is justified and politically powerful. But the claim ‘hating men is male-centered’ isn’t a universal truth; it’s a conditional analytic point: if hatred becomes the organizing principle of someone’s identity or politics, it functionally centers men. So both are true at once: hate can be justified, and hate can — in SOME circumstances — keep men as the focal point you’re trying to escape. Hating men can be a justified emotional reaction to harm — that doesn’t automatically mean the person is centering men. If someone’s whole identity and politics are defined as ‘against men,’ then yes that’s still centering men — but that’s a description of a pattern, not an argument that victims shouldn’t be angry or hateful.

Feminism can’t centre women’s lives on their own terms in a patriarchal world. It’s a liberation movement, literally. So for as long as the patriarchy is in place, feminism will remain relevant. I also believe there’s a place for misandry. Entirely reasonable for women to be. Side note: Can someone educate me on how Muslim women can be feminist?
