Glow squids are another reason they should add lower ocean levels, like their own biome like the deep dark that can have other underwater mobs (this has been my dream update since the flop of the aquatic update)

idk about java cause i play more bedrock but theyre pretty easy to find in pretty much any underground water cave which are also very common

that's genuinely the perfect way to describe were you find them I have never seen one anywhere other when im just mining and they r just chilling in some tiny underground waterfall where majority of their body isn't even in it

Glowing text wasn’t available in bedrock before the glow squid! Like in Java you could do it in commands but it just WASNT in bedrock! That’s why I like the glow squid

I created an underground water pit and it’s exclusively populated with glowsquids cuz the pit is deep enough lmao. Said pit is very obviously just in my base, so I see glow squids every time I play Minecraft >:)

I find them in random ponds but then there will be another pond less than 20 blocks away with no glow squides. I dont understand how or where they spawn

If you try building an ocean in superflat there's lots. I use mushroom platforms with kelp, bamboo walls, and running water to make ever-filling goblet aquariums. hecka glow squid

adding a mob that's just another version of an existing one just to serve one singular purpose is rather pointless, it just makes me sad because they seem rather cool but they're really not

I think the idea is cool, but they should definitely update it. make it actually emit light, maybe give more uses to the ink sacs, etc
