@raquel_capacity_expert: Victimhood doesn’t always sound like complaining. It often sounds like being aware. At first, it sounds like awareness. You’re naming your reality. But look closer. That “awareness” actually ends the conversation instead of opening it. It quietly says: Because of this identity or experience, life will always be limited. That’s not awareness. That’s victimhood. Real awareness doesn’t shrink your future. It expands it. Victimhood-as-awareness: “Because of who I am, this is all I’ll ever get.” Real awareness: “Because of who I am, I’ve got context but I can still choose how to grow and respond.” Victimhood feels safe because it explains the struggle. But if your explanation locks you into defeat, you’re not standing in awareness. You’re standing in resignation. So ask yourself: Does your self-awareness open more possibilities? Or does it keep telling you why things will never change? Because if it’s the second… that’s not awareness. That’s just victimhood dressed up with better words. If this hits you, grab my Capacity Journal or the Capacity Workbook (link in bio). They’re tools to help you break patterns of perception and step into growth.
I have started to ask people to tell me who they are without mentioning race, politics, religion, career, medical history and diagnosis, family and school. Who are you without naming these things as part of one’s identity

I wanna say thank you for being pure in your content and not feeling the need to put down other modalities in an effort to promote your own. That is such a toxic trend on this app. The therapists who do that need to refer to your content so they are able to build capacity around their own professional sense of self.

What you're saying is 100% correct. But!!..the barrier for most is not having the language or the perceptive understanding to better explain. And we dont see as shrinking us because we dont know how we identify is really the barrier

idk, this might just be the middle stage between being a passive, unaware victim and an actual survivor.
