Tbh, I wish I would have known this when my babies were little. My baby ended up having a hair tourniquet and she almost lost her toe to it! She’s 13 now and still has the scar!

my mom told me to always check fingers and toes when they seem to be crying for no reason. I was able to catch a few before they got too tight!

always always should be cleaning your new babies feet, hands, under neck, under armpit, any rolls. every day. I do it every morning. between toes and hands

This is so important to remember. CHECK YOUR BABIES FINGERS TOES AND PRIVATE AREAS FOR HAIR THAT COULD BE WRAPPED AROUND TIGHT.

I’ve made it apart of my baby boys night time routine so I don’t forget! After bath and lotion I check hands, feet, and privates for hair tourniquets! I felt like it was easy to remember as part of the routine

Hate to say it because it’s a pet peeve of mine when people think watching medical shows makes them a doctor, but “The Pitt” taught me a lot of medical info I didn’t know previously—hair tourniquets included!
