Idk 20 years ago it was kinda hard to get a job because of the recession at the time and you had to have your diploma for most interviews. I haven’t been asked for anything in the last decade. But the nice thing was back then once I did finally land a factory job it something I didn’t have to stress about being broke anymore.

I’m 19, have 4 years of working experience, 6 if you count babysitting (outside of family), specialized training, some college, have been a manager, was in like 20+ clubs and 4 sports, have learned 4 languages, and somehow I literally can’t get a job. Meanwhile when my parents were my age, no college, way less on paper experience, they had full time jobs that paid for their (then) families and houses (my parents were both married and had kids separately before they got together n had me).

Good because humans shouldn’t work in the first place. At this point in time, and with all of the past experiences and studies, we should have by now reached a system that has a universal income and/or a perfect universal system that makes sure everyone has proper needs fulfillment, free access to healthcare, free access to food, etc.
