The job DOES NOT care about you! For example I had major surgery and was out for 15 weeks. During my time out about 10 weeks in my job texts me can I return their short staff. Well I didn’t answer that text, when my 15 weeks were up I sent them my resignation not returning. That is why I have no loyalty to any job…

I needed this message. I can retire next year but keep talking myself out of it. I won't be rich, but I'll be ok. I used to love my job and spent every waking moment there. Management changed and I have hated my job ever since. They want me to solve all the problems and threaten to fire me because I won't conform to corruption. My mental and physical health has been taxed working these last few years. The funny thing is that I'm still learning to love myself.

At my former place of employment, a professor passed away in the classroom on a Wed. Thursday they had his office cleaned out like he never existed and his classes covered on Monday. That changed my entire perspective about everything. TAKE YOUR PTO!

I had surgery recently and almost took a week off, even though my doctor recommended 6 weeks. Ended up doing the 6 weeks and it was the best time of my life, even though I was recovering from major surgery. How crazy is that? Surgery shouldn’t be the only vacation you get.

I just took a 1 mth FLMA /EIB from work. The last three years have been hell. I’ve worked at the same facility for 21 years, and in the same recent position for 17 yrs. I was about loose my mind. I kept waiting for it to get better, as promised by office managers, supervisors, etc. it never happened. I am sure that now that I’m gone it will get better. There gonna need 3 more people to do everything i did.

We had a co owner from work who died, the same day. The main owner had his office cleared out and someone new in there. I'm retiring at 60 and leaving the country in 4 years.

Just came back from Rome Italy 🇮🇹 two days ago in next going to Japan Tokyo 🇯🇵 in 18 days Don’t care to retire I’m 24 in I’m enjoying my best life traveling 💯 tomorrow is definitely not promised and I’ll never be this young again getting to experience different cultures and eat different food 🍝while healing my inner child.
