And these dark ones were most at home at sea” - The Secret of Roan Innish 🌊🦭🌿 I’m pleased to introduce my Secret of Roan Innish inspired Selkie and long anticipated Selkie mermaid tail, a personal project I’ve waited my entire 11 year mermaid career to make (and my entire life to dream up). This Selkie is a darker Selkie, inspired by real dark haired selkies in Celtic folklore and the Selkie in the beloved Secret of Roan Innish film. Complete with a swimmable hybrid Selkie mermaid tail, hand made from start to finish by yours truly (with silicone knowledge I’ve learned from my full time job at @finfolkproductions), this character was debuted for the first time on camera by the wonderful @mermaidfreedive in the kelp forests of California’s Channel Islands.
