@iconsofinspiration_: Thandiwe Newton’s journey proves that speaking your truth is the ultimate power. She faced racism, sexism, and pressure to hide her identity in an industry that tried to box her in. For years, her name was even misspelled in credits—stripping away part of her heritage. But she reclaimed it, standing boldly as Thandiwe, honoring her Zimbabwean roots. From Beloved to Westworld, she has fought for roles with depth, demanded respect, and used her platform to break stereotypes about women of color in Hollywood. Her story is a reminder: Your voice matters. Your name matters. YOU matter. 🌍 👉🏾 Aspiring actresses—what part of yourself are you reclaiming on your journey?
