I pay 1600 for a two bedroom apartment.. I’m sure there’s other states that are more but I’ve been thinking this is literally a house payment ???? And nothing is updated, being an adult is INSANE 10/10 do not recommend.

I just got evicted because we couldn’t pay the $1649 for our 2 bedroom. My car went through severe hail damage- cost $2k with my deductible, then engine blew and that was a 5k repair I couldn’t afford so I had to lose my only way to get to and from work, bf lost his job because he couldn’t get there on time with public transportation (buses ran later than his scheduled time) and he did DoorDash and grubhub on the side bringing in 1500 monthly on that alone. Had to move back in with my mom and quit my job. Now I have 30 days to find a NEW job and 90 days to find an apartment or my mom is making me homeless (my bf and son had to stay with his family and I couldn’t come bc no space, complicated situation but our families don’t vibe so he couldn’t stay with me here). NOT ONLY IS IT IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AFFORDABLE APARTMENTS- BUT FINDING A NEW JOB TOO! Girl. I hate it here. My baby boy will never grow up in a house and that makes me so sad to think about.

No it’s so crazy tho. Like apartments were supposed to be starter places you lived in to save money before you invest in a house. Now not only are houses insanely unaffordable but so are apartments. We legitimately just can’t live anywhere now lmao
