@tamrynklintworth: In Exodus 33, God gave Moses the option of receiving the promised land—but without His abiding presence. From a human perspective, it would have made things much easier. No longer would Moses have to mediate between a holy God and a rebellious, sinful people. Yet, Moses knew better. He understood that receiving the promise would mean nothing if they lost their relationship with the Promise-Giver. So, he rejected the offer—and God yielded. He would continue to dwell in their midst. He would give them both the Promised Land and He would give them Himself.‌ This is an important lesson. As we press forward for the Lord, fulfilling whatever assignment He has ascribed to us, let us always remember that our focus should be on His face and not on the task in our hands. He is our true reward. His presence is our supreme joy and dominant delight. Let us labour diligently for Him—but never at the cost of our walk with Him.‌ Amen and amen. #Jesus #christianity #christiantiktok #Relationship #God
