පාපය ගැන බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ දේශනය “පාපෝපි පස්සති භද්‍රං යාව පාපං න පච්චති; යදා ච පච්චති පාපං අථ පාපෝ පාපානි පස්සති.” තේරුම: පාපකර්මය තවමත් විපාක නොදී තිබෙන තුරු පාපකාරයාට යහපතක් මෙන් පෙනේ. නමුත් පාපය විපාක දීමට පැමිණි විට ඔහු පාපයේ අනිෂ්ට ප්‍රතිඵල අත්විඳියි. “මා පමඤ්ඤෙථ පාපස්ස න මන්තං ආගමීස්සති; උදබින්දු නිපාතේන උදකුම්භෝපි පූරති.” තේරුම: “මේ පුංචි පාපයෙන් මට කිසිවක් වෙන්නේ නැහැ” යැයි නොසිතිය යුතුය. ජල බිඳු බිඳු එකතු වී කළයක් පිරෙන සේ, කුඩා පාප ද එකතු වී විශාල දුක් විපාක ගෙන දෙයි. බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේ දේශනා කළේ: * පාපකර්ම කළ විට එහි විපාකය වහාම නොලැබිය හැක. * නමුත් කර්ම විපාකයෙන් කිසිවෙකුට ගැලවිය නොහැක. * කුඩා පාපයත් නැවත නැවත කිරීමෙන් මහත් දුකට හේතු වේ. * එබැවින් ශරීරයෙන්, වචනයෙන් සහ සිතින් අකුසල් දුරලා කුසල් වඩන්නට උත්සාහ කළ යුතුය. බුදු වදනක්: “සබ්බපාපස්ස අකරණං, කුසලස්ස උපසම්පදා; සචිත්ත පරියෝදපනං — ඒතං බුද්ධාන සාසනං.” තේරුම: සියලු පාපයන් නොකිරීම, කුසල් වර්ධනය කිරීම සහ තම සිත පිරිසිදු කර ගැනීම — මෙය බුදුවරුන්ගේ අනුශාසනාවයි. Sermon on Evil Deeds (Pāpa) According to the Buddha “Pāpopi passati bhadraṃ yāva pāpaṃ na paccati; Yadā ca paccati pāpaṃ atha pāpo pāpāni passati.” Meaning: As long as an evil deed has not yet borne its fruit, the wrongdoer may think that all is well. But when that evil deed ripens and produces its results, the wrongdoer experiences the painful consequences of those actions. “Mā pamaññetha pāpassa na mantaṃ āgamissati; Udabindu nipātena udakumbhopi pūrati.” Meaning: One should not think, “This small evil deed will not affect me.” Just as a water jar is filled drop by drop, small evil actions accumulate over time and can eventually bring great suffering. The Buddha taught that: * The results of evil deeds may not appear immediately. * However, no one can escape the consequences of their actions (kamma). * Even small wrongdoings, when repeated, can lead to great suffering. * Therefore, one should abandon unwholesome actions of body, speech, and mind, and cultivate wholesome deeds. A Famous Teaching of the Buddha “Sabbapāpassa akaraṇaṃ, kusalassa upasampadā; Sacittapariyodapanaṃ — etaṃ buddhāna sāsanaṃ.” Meaning: To avoid all evil, to cultivate what is wholesome, and to purify one’s own mind—this is the teaching of all Buddhas. #බුදුදහම #නිර්වානය #foruyou #ධර්මදානයක්_වේවා
