Racism is on the rise in the UK, and in my view, the government is deliberately fueling it. To distract from their own corruption and complicity in overseas atrocities, they are once again scapegoating immigrants and people crossing the Channel. This calculated stoking of hatred creates a mess that the police are then left to deal with. It's a truly sad state of affairs.

Thank you for your words. I said a similar thing at a workplace race equality network meeting (need more white people to speak up). It matters so much when white voices challenge other white voices, because then the offenders know people that look like them do not feel the same way as them.
