✨How to PREVENT FRIZZ when styling your curls ✨ If your curls are frizzy when they’re wet, then follow these steps for juicy, defined curls: 1️⃣ Keep your hair ALMOST soaking wet while styling to reduce frizz. You can use a continuous mist bottle, or add water to your hair with your hands like I do 😂 I kinda need to get a continuous mist bottle for more consistent results, buuuut my hands will do for now! 2️⃣ Apply your HIGH-SLIP leave-in conditioner (can also use a detangling product first if you have extra tangled curls) 3️⃣ ALWAYS detangle starting from the bottom to reduce breakage!!! Use a brush that’s meant for DETANGLING curls - some brushes meant for styling will cause breakage if you use them on knotted curls (if you don’t know where to start, I have great options on my Amazon storefront) 4️⃣ Once your curls are 100% detangled, smooth to clump curls (my fav step 🤍). If they’re not turning super smooth, try adding more water or leave-in conditioner until you can smooth them into juicy curl clumps! If they’re still resistant to smoothing, sometimes anionic/quick-dry curl creams do this! Just add some water, scrunch some product out, and try another leave-in. This is why it’s great to work in small sections first to see if products will work that wash day! You can use a styling brush at this point, or just continue using the detangling brush. Up to your personal preference! You’ll get different results if you use a styling brush vs detangling brush 5️⃣ Finish off the curl styling routine by scrunching in your hold product to keep your curls lasting! 6️⃣ Diffuse your curls (on room temp unless you used a heat protectant) so your hair and scalp don’t stay wet for too long 7️⃣ Once dry, finish with a good sealing oil to keep the frizz out! As always, if you have any questions about product recommendations or techniques, I’m happy to answer them 🤍 follow me for more curl & beauty content! #curlyhairtips #curlyhairproblems #definedcurls #curltip #curls #curlyhairtutorial #frizzycurls #camrynscurls
