imagine a very small town where there aren't a multitude of places to buy things, now imagine a family no one likes and every place that sells food stops selling to them. not because of any protected class, they just choose to refuse service. now these people can no longer live there. there has to be some point where society says you owning a business here is contingent on adhering to the needs of the people around it. business's function is to provide needed services.

lol you cant outlaw discrimination any more than you cant outlaw idiocracy. Like what are we doing here? If Jim Crowe behavior emerges from business at scale organically then oh well; the market has spoken and people talk with their feet.

This argument literally justifies any and all government overreach. I pay for the roads so the government should be able to raid your house because I want to make sure the buildings in my community is safe. We should randomly search all cars that drive on said roads too. The 4th amendment extends to private businesses, so why not the first? Political opinions are a belief system and expression of speech just like religion. So yes it should be a protected class.
