They feed their larvae caterpillars and other insects that would otherwise damage garden plants. #WaspNest are constructed from chewed plant fibers, shaped into open combs where each cell houses developing brood. Even when nesting close to people, they usually remain non-aggressive unless disturbed, providing quiet but effective pest control. That said, if you have pets or small children, it may be best to remove the nest 😬
