A vet should examine the dog immediately on return. A report documenting weight, body condition, and any health issues will be critical. Civil Claim for Damages! U could pursue a civil claim against the authority for costs (e.g., veterinary treatment, suffering caused). This would usually require legal advice and evidence that the neglect happened in kennels, not beforehand. they'll just say he did want to eat etc HOWEVER did they get a vet to keep an eye on his condition . I'm heartbroken for you.

My dads dog got seized a few years back, he went in (slightly overweight) but a very healthy dog, came out, no teeth left in his mouth where he gnawed at the cages, absolute skin and bones, cuts and sores all over his back end and tail. Took him to the vets who agreed abuse. Police wrote it off and didn’t take it any further. I really hope you get somewhere better than we did! It’s a disgrace animals are being kept this way while supposed to be “taken care of” until the case is sorted. Breaks my heart 😞 so sorry you’ve been through this! X

This is my xl bully he was taken by Clevland police in April he was then put to sleep “by accident “ because they lost my forms we paid for a private cremation for hi and an hour before his cremation I got a call saying he was mass cremated it’s been four months and no justice has been made

They’ll blame stress. It’s not the case, they deny food to try engage a bite. My neighbour had to sit in court and watch footage of her dog being tormented and abused to try and get her to bite and she never did. They state they care for the dogs whilst in kennels, they don’t.

Get him vet checked 😡😡😡 wen it’s proven that these dogs are being taken needlessly and this is the condition they hand them back wen no fault is found😡😡😡id lose it… stay cool, look after ur boy but please document this and take this further🙏🙏
