Presentation of diplomas to the 71st class of the Judicial Career and the 22nd class of the fourth session. Upon his arrival at the Barcelona International Convention Center, His Majesty the King Felipe VI was received by the alternate president of the General Council of the Judiciary, Rafael Mozo; the Minister of Transport, Mobility, and Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez; the Government Delegate in the Autonomous Community of Catalonia, María Eugènia Gay; the acting president of the Supreme Court, Francisco Marín; the Attorney General of the State, Álvaro García Ortíz; the president of the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia, Jesús María Barrientos; and the Secretary of State for Justice, Antonio Julián Rodríguez, among other authorities. Inside the building, King Felipe also greeted the members of the General Council of the Judiciary, the director of the Judicial School, Jorge Jiménez; and the presidents of the Superior Courts of Justice. After entering the Main Chamber and taking his place at the presidential table, His Majesty the King opened the session and successively gave the floor to the Director of the Judicial School, the President of the General Council of the Judiciary, acting as substitute, and the Secretary General of the General Council of the Judiciary, who read out the appointments of the judges of the 22nd Class of the Fourth Judiciary. His Majesty the King then presented the commissions to the judges of the 22nd Class of the Fourth Judiciary, the commission and Cross of Saint Raymond of Peñafort to Gonzalo Marco, number one in the 71st Class of the Judicial Service, and finally, commissions to the new judges of the 71st Class of the Judicial Service. The 171 members—125 women and 46 men—of the 71st Class of the Judicial Service received their commissions in Barcelona at a ceremony presided over by His Majesty the King. Likewise, the 44 members—27 men and 17 women—of the twenty-second class of the fourth session, reserved for jurists of recognized competence with more than ten years of professional experience, received their commissions at the same ceremony.
