It is both/and. We do need better and more accessible healthcare to address our mental health crisis, and we need better checks and balances to gun ownership, the shooter recently bought these guns legally under their own name, that shouldn't have been allowed given what we know about the YouTube videos and mentally state. I do appreciate your point about others who have stolen guns to carry out their crimes but in the majority of school shootings the guns have been legally owned. We do need major changes to a society where policy has been written and built on aged documents and laws and misiterpreted and manipulated. Other countries do not have this issue as prevalently. And The US was also founded on religious freedom so if we ARE going to uphold aged documents then we also have to uphold this right for people as well.
