Nope. They proved themselves with 8 free DLC’s for NMS.

Everyone trusts Sean Murray because he and his team own their mistakes - honestly.

They’re literally using NMS updates to test and fix things for LNF. It’s gonna make for a damn good game

Sean is that guy in the back that makes impossible claims and backs them up, even if it means trying hundreds of thousands of times

Imagine if the boats are modular based so you can build giant galleons and stuff.

It could be horrible on release and I would 100% trust that they will make it as good or better than advertised eventually.

I love that we get little to no clue about release times for updates about NMS. it means that they take their time and release when they feel its ready instead of being bound by a deadline. I had the same feeling with TLOU2. there wasnt a release date known, maybe not even that they were developing it (not sure about that tho) but it meant that when it released it was when the devs felt it was ready and thats a big plus for me ngl

wont buy at launch still, but will buy eventually. nms proves they will fix it, but I still belive into releasing a finished product. so I refuse to pre-order due to that alone.

No mans sky is a living example of how deadlines will ruin a game developers truly love and want to make, I will wait as long as they need to make Light no Fire into whatever their vision is

But why does it still feel so “empty” like yeah neat bunch of animals and stuff to scan but it still feels like all I’m doing is looking at stuff with no real impact to the game

Being trapped on a boat for literal days of real time before you hit another continent does not sound fun at all.

they've proven they're good at what they're doing and dedicated to the engine. with the size of NMS they prove they can handle optimization. we'll likely get an ocean update again for NMS soon to test some of this tech
