As an uncle of four this is disgusting. People who do this clearly are insecure about their relationship to their niece/nephews or don’t have a good relationship with them. Why would you not want your niece/nephew to have as many people in their life that love them as possible. If your mad because they call someone else “aunty/uncle” then you need to have a good look in the mirror and wonder why you feel the need to control a childs emotions and feelings xoxoxo

Some of my closest friends have kids and they call me their auntie because I treat them like that, I love them like that and thankfully none of the biological aunties and uncles are like this. They all treat me as if I am the kids biological auntie. The way I see family is it’s who makes the effort and shows up for you and if that’s close friends then they’re also family xx
