That is not what PDA is. Yes, everyone has a natural New York reaction to not want to be told what to do or what not to do. PDA makes it so a command or even an ill worded request literally makes their brain rebel.

PDA includes things like not even listening to your own bodily needs because they feel overwhelming or too demanding at that time. Like people will literally not eat or drink or use the bathroom because you are doing something else and are now dysregulated because another intense need is thrown on you. It can involve major reactions to being asked to do simple things: can you shut the door, please. People will stop doing something they are already doing/or were getting ready to do, just because someone asked them about it.
