What’s insane to me as an American Catholic is all of these beautiful churches in England and hardly anyone attends anymore

its amazing. I live in one of the original colonies/states. Our oldest city is Savanah. the oldest buildings there are from the 1730's. 1300 is mind blowing

When I lived in England we walked through a cemetery to get to school. The dates on the graves were so old. We (obviously) don’t have anything like that in the US. I’d forgotten about that until I watched your video.

I know you love to come to America, but if I lived in England, it’d be hard to leave. You have so much rich history all around you. It’s truly amazing.

I was married in Taunton. Come Floury, England. My husbands family has a farm there. The church I was married in was similar. All the Americans who came kept talking about that church. The bells would ring when I was out of the church. We had a beautiful tent reception on the farm❣️

I love seeing these beautifully built buildings! I love how they still use the church bells. The town I live in has a church that does the bells but the building is not near as beautiful as this one.

The oldest place I've ever been is Philadelphia. Betsy Ross's house. Ben Franklin's house. Independence Hall - you can go into the room where the Declaration of Independence was signed. You can touch the chairs they sat in! I found it surprisingly emotional.
I cannot even fathom being in the presence of something from Medieval times! Incredible!
