I have 25% in a money market and the balance in managed retirement accounts. Not sure how it’s split up, but much less than 85% equities. But fully agree with your analysis. Longer term, don’t see debt being addressed either. Not sure what to do but will see about a even more conservative strategy.

I did that in 2012-2016, same reason. Lost out on 92% increase. Did it again in 2021, lost out on 30% and got back in.

Scare tactics. I have fallen for this too many times over last 25 years. I also have that fear inside me that has made me miss out on gains. They should put a timeline on these moments of pulling out. Market has pushed above every single down turn in the past.
