When we first found out he was deaf it definitely made me feel so many emotions i’ve never felt. i was scared for him i was sad i was confused and i definitely thought the worst but as i educated myself i know Matias will thrive and be happy regardless of him hearing or not, in Todays world the technology is so advanced & he is so smart. We are taking steps to get him cochlear it’s such a long process but so worth every doctors appointment. ASL is a beautiful and such a cool language to know 🤟🤍 You will thrive Matias this makes you no different

Hello I was born deaf. I am now 23 almost 24 and a mom of 3. If you ever need someone to talk to or have any questions feel free to reach out. Your son is beautiful ! I can speak and sign . I got a cochlear implant when I was 10 months old and went to a special school here in San Antonio called Sunshine Cottage for the deaf. They are a private school that teaches the hearing impaired how to speak.

You should watch “switched at birth” it’s such a great show and it shows how deaf kids live their life and how big of a community they have ! He’s such a beautiful little boy btw 🥺❤️

my baby sister is deaf & got a cochlear implant and she thrives. she even got to switch from a blind n deaf school to a regular public school with her siblings. Being deaf stops them from nothing 💕💕

you’ll definitely hear him speak at some point mama. it won’t be a full actual voice since he cannot hear himself but he will still have some kind of voice only you can understand.

my sister is fully deaf she was born deaf and my sister is one of the sweetest people I know it was tough for my mom when she was little my mom got her cochlear implants and my sister hated them my sister is fluent in asl and went to speech therapy me and my mom learned sign language and my sister is now a senior and talks with us almost no problems she is thriving being deaf makes you no different no matter what if the people around you help you and set you up for success you will succeed there is not enough people showing this side of life you as a mom people don’t see the hardships and even good parts of this life god has chose for you, you’re doing great and with a good mother like you he will be set up for greatness ♥️

My older brother is completely deaf , was not born with it , and no matter what they tried they said he’ll never be able to hear or talk , and wanted to place him as disabled but he refused and will forever say there’s nothing wrong with him he does everything everyone else can do , he learned how to dance , he works and was a straight A student , god is always good , and your baby boy is absolutely perfect don’t ever let anyone tell you or him something is wrong with him🤍

My little brother was born deaf my mom drove an hour away everyday for school he never liked wearing his cochlears as a baby but overtime he got used to them he never learned sign language but was always able to read my moms lips and overtime he grew to be able to speak properly no one ever realizes he’s fully deaf because of how well he speaks he’s a senior in high school now and is a manger at his job you baby boy has a bright future ahead of him love keep your head high.🥹🫶🏻🙏🏼
