@orintapa: Did you know Spain has a pink lake? 🌊🩷 In Torrevieja, the water turns pink because of special algae and bacteria, it looks unreal, like another planet. The lakes are also home to thousands of flamingos🦩🦩They eat the same algae that gives the water its pink color and that’s why their feathers are so perfectly pink too, it’s like nature made them match the lake. Every year, more than 500,000 tons of salt are produced here 🧂 and shipped worldwide, even to clear icy roads in New York ❄️ And here’s the fun part... Even though swimming is not allowed, people still go in 😅 🙈 The water is so salty you float like in the Dead Sea, and many believe it has healing benefits for the skin and joints.
