Alex Ross. That gouache style of, it’s so realistic. I just can’t, I need my disbelief suspended a bit more when I pick up a comic. I know what I’m getting into when I’m watching live action movie adaptation. But when reading comics? I need more cartoon and less realistic. Also 3-D art in comic books like Deadpool Max. Seriously? It looks like a bad animation render.

Alex Ross. I’m not a fan of the overly realistic style, I prefer more like Dan Mora or Ed McGuinness art. I haven’t read kingdom come for that reason, his art just doesn’t appeal to me

I want to say Rob Liefeld but I mean, we all agree he sucks, right? But for me it's Frank Quietly (it's the way his colourist colours) and Alex Ross. I appreciate the skill that goes into Ross's work but it all gets a bit samey.

It is a visual medium! If the art's not to my taste I dont read it for the same reason I won't read books if I'm not vibing with the writing style. I'm struggling with carmine di giandomenico's work on the flash though D: on one hand, the speedsters a beautiful and I love the way the action is drawn and the lightning, its so dynamic and colourful. on the other hand. I then have to look at Barry Allen's face D:
