Hairstylist here 👋 for those of you wanting to try this: yes over direction is helpful for that cascading effect but applying lightener to bundles of hair in ponytails is not smart. You will have uneven application and will see it in the results. Also would not recommend this if you have dark hair trying to create platinum blonde. Not going to look “blended”. Hope it helps ✌
