I don’t think you remember correctly! Being under Jay-Z influence wasn’t beneath Aaliyah & would’ve been a GREAT LOOK! Jay-Z was becoming the “JAY-Z” we know today back in 01 & the only rapper at the time to not only feature with Micheal Jackson but brought him out to hot97 summer jam! Aaliyah’s movie career was taking off but the last album wasn’t really received the previous ones
