best ive seen is someone took a damaged axle. cut the spindles off. mounted the spares with fully and greased hubs to them. welded the spindles to trailer so they had full hubs ready to swap.

You could also drill a hole in the carriage bolt and put a pin in it just in case those nuts ever loosen that wouldn’t let it come off no matter what

I’ve took a spare tire winch off a ram 2500 and mounted under the deck, popped a hole through the frame and use my truck jack tools to lower the spare, same concept just get to be a little lazier when taking it down

You can buy a spare tire hoist, what you would see on most cars that have spare tires under their cars they r pretty affordable and make it easier to remove and you can use an impact to lower it down without worrying about dropping a tire on your head
