@charleeremitz: When I was in high school, I wrote an essay about Taylor Swift’s uncanny ability to turn constructive criticism and unconstructive criticism into incredible success. For instance, the song “Mean” was the result of a scathing review of her 2010 Grammy’s performance, and, of course, there was the album REPUTATION. She has completely dominated the world, and I have long been first in line to combat anyone who wanted to participate in the takedown of a successful woman. However, we are hitting a point in time where her impact is so obvious, and our dwindling humanity is in crisis. This isn’t business as usual. This is a time of need, and she isn’t rising to the occasion. And my hope is that enough people start demanding action from their favorite celebrities, and that Taylor Swift turns all this criticism into something worthwhile.
